Специалисты Eamex научились останавливать процессы разрушения олова на электродах, что позволило их стабилизировать. В новой разработке катод аккумулятора сделан из смолы покрытой оловом. Он притягивает ионы лития от анода, который образован соединением кремния и олова.
По мнению разработчиков, приоритетным направлением использования подобных аккумуляторов будет их применение в электромобилях и скутерах.
Первые источники тока с использованием технологии Eamex станут доступны в четвертом квартале этого года. Их удельная мощность составит 10 кВт на кг массы.
По утверждению изобретателей использование новых аккумуляторов выгодно в экономическом плане.
